hi there guys, me again... wonder if yet again you could shed some light on my situation! i was driving my trak in the snow today and had it in 4wd, when i got to 30mph or so it shudders? front end etc.... is this prop shaft wear? i have been under and greased them all this week but this is the 1st time ive had it in 4wd on the road at speed?? any help would be great! steve

bit of play somewhere probably that you just gotta find but tbh 30 mph in 4 wd is pretty fast, hope you were on solid snow etc cos at that speed for part tarmac youll get transmission wind up. If you were doing that speed on a slippy surface its just play somewhere.

oh.....
it was on heavily compacted snow in 4high.... i think i have seen LOADS of posts about wind up i shall look at them and see if i am a culprit... i have never used 4wd on hard surfaces only in thick mud of bogs etc... however the previouse owner may have??....
i went under the car this evening (my seccond home now) and found that there is quite a bit of play in the centre of the propshaft where the splines are? it tooke loads of grease too!....

ah right
yer probably your prop then steve, if you can hold both ends and twist them in different directions.....then thats an issue.
