Sportrak Soft Top

Just bought a 1994 Sportrak so I apologise if this is already discussed on the forum, but I am looking for a quick answer.

Are all sportraks roofs, front and rear removable?

hi ive had three spotraks ranging from 1992 to 1998 and all three were the same the front (sun roof) can be lifted out and the rear (cannopy with windows) can be unbolted and lifted off. if you take the rear off it is advisable to remove rear door window aswell.

just another note i had a canvass soft top that i fitted to one of them but it was more bother than it was worth.
when in open position it took up a lot of space at rear door and when up it was difficult to see out of rear mirror so i took it off and flogged it on e.bay.

I will probably just do the same and not bother with a soft top.

I pick the car up on Monday, so is there anything I should be looking for in terms of common faults etc before I drive off from the seller.

It was an ebay purcahse you see, so I havent seen it in the flesh yet.

the ones ive had have all been prettywell trouble free but there are some rot boxes around so check for body and chassis rot most of the other faults can be fixed.
if its got a decent amount of test on it is usualy a good sign but again you tend to get what you pay for (like most things in life)

It has an MOT until October and has all MOTs since new with 87K on the clock.

Should be ok for £500.

should be ok and price is about right. weird thing is that 92 up to 98 all bring similar prices (see some silly prices in garages but they prob dont sell them)
what else can you get for £500 not a lot so with a bit luck you will be laughin mate.
