Forum:
My sportrak heater fan isnt working.
I can hear a click in the drivers side footwell when I move the fan speed switch from off to speed 1, but the fan doesnt come on.
I have checked all the fuses that I can find, and they all seem ok. I have tried to get at the back of the switch, but can't figure out how to dismantle enough of the dash.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Russ
Does it work on full speed?
Does it work on full speed? if so its the resistor on top of the fan motor, they are a common problem and you can get replacements bery cheaply from electronics suppliers, but they need to be power resistors.
Getting to it is a lot of work, so unless you really need low speeds don't bother as most people don't.
Its not working on any speed
Its not working on any speed unfortunately.
Im not sure whether to dismantle the dash, or if there is something simple that I should try first?
I think I have got to the
I think I have got to the root of the problem, and I think it is a faulty blower motor.
I managed to get it turning but it wasnt going very fast and would only start every so often.
So if anyone has one for sale, please let me know.
The motor is a Denso 194000-0350
