Timing Belt

Hi there,
I just bought a Fourtrack EL 2.8TurboDiesel SpecialEdition few months ago. It's a H plate which I think is registered in the middle of 1990. I would like to replace the timing belt for it. But somebody says the old Fourtrack has a timing chain. So, I am quite confused. Any ideas?

Have a look at the timing chain / belt cover...just behind the viscous fan...if its metal(aluminium)then its a chain...if its plastic then its a belt.
