Since I started running my Sportrak about 3 years ago I have replaced the front shocks (too hard) and the rear springs and rear shocks, (too soft). The rear shocks were KYB brand and seemed fine, they certainly improved the ride. Looking under the vehicle yesterday I thought ' Hey where's the left hand rear shock gone????' The eye on the bottom end has snapped off with the shock on full compression and all the oil has gone from it.
I didn't think what I did was serious off roading, but its obviously enough to trash the shocks, so I'm looking to replace the rear shocks .... again.
Is there something which doesn't cost a fortune which might have slightly longer travel than the original, like pro comp, maybe, for example? I seem to remember someone suggesting Astra shocks as a possible suggestion, or am I dreaming? Your suggestions please gentleman.

loosing an eye on the bottom cerainly aint uncommon, if you had'nt lost your oil you can low heat mig them back on, yer vaux cav ones fit and are slightly longer.....but I cant remember which model, I got a s/hand good set though from atkinson autos the last time.
Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
