Any expensive fault to fix, or even very light accident damage and repair cost would be higher than the value and written off by insureres.
The cost of a new bumper, fog lights, plus the paint and labour is enough for insurance to write a YRV turbo off.
Exactly the same started happening to the Charade GTti about 10 years ago. 200 were scrapped from the DVLA records in the space of about 5 years. Rust repair/light accident or anything expensive mechanically and the cars value means most people would not think it worth repairing.

Didn't Daihatsu UK only sell about 175 YRV Turbos, The number on the is actually reasonable considering.
But expect it to be well under 100 within 2-3 years.

I beleive 210 YRV Turbos were officially imported over by IM for Daihatsu UK.
Still some silly money being asked for these cars. Yellow for sale wanting close £4K. WHich is what I paid for mine over 4 years ago.
