YRV Turbo - Tanabe Sustec Pro Coilovers

Forum:

I need some opinions... I've come across a second-hand set of Tanabe Sustec Pro coilovers for a good price. Now, I believe that they were removed from a 2-wheel drive YRV, but having placed them alongside the KYB ones on my 4WD, the shocks match perfectly. The front ones will obviously fit so I'm not concerned about them.

My dilemma however, is that there's no rear springs with the kit, and despite searching the web, I can't find out if the kit came from Tanabe with them. From looking at the photo of the shocks before they were removed (http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/492/tanabe.jpg) I'm not sure that the kit had uprated springs, as it looks like they have a collar added at the top to lower the ride height that way instead (the collars are included).

So, my questions to the people in the know, is do the rear springs in the photo look like they are standard ones?

Not sure on the rear springs

Not sure on the rear springs to be fair. I know on the 2 wheel drive YRV the springs are lesser apart on the UK model. I believe the UK Model got a different type of spring for the YRV Turbo.

Here is a picture of my rear Tein Springs and AVO adjustables for comparison:

I would say the adjustable rear struts compensate on the ride against the standard spring.
