Forum:
please can anyone help ?i have a 1999 t reg fourtrak independent ,it hasnt been used in 4wd since last winter , tonight (being good samaritan) i pulled a smallish van out of a ditch with great ease , i put fourtrak in low box using the lever not the switch ,the green light didnt come on straight away but then did. After pulling the van out i moved the lever back into 2wh position and green light stayed on, usually it would go out. I moved forward and the car was shuddering, i then reversed and it disengaged and the light went out. When i got home i tried the 4wh range again with the switch and it shudders when moving forward quite alot and won't disengage by just pressing switch you have to reverse to disengage it which i have never had to do before. Any ideas?

Thank You for reply assasin
I have a mate who does mechanics on his own land rovers would he be able to do this job or do i need to go to a daihatsu garage? I have a 1994 independant for spares i think it is an identical car except for the tyre sizes - smaller on the newer one.
Also can anyone tell me what the biggest tyres are that i can put on a road standard fourtrak with 15 inch wheels to get maximum clearance off road?
Many Thanks
Phil
You can do it yourself, mark
You can do it yourself, mark the pipes and electrical connections, and take a picture of them marked, remove them, unbolt the mounting plate and they all come off as they are mounted on the mounting plate.
