Sirion rally 4 air filter?

Forum:

Hi guys im new on the forum, proud owner of a 2003 sirion rally 4.
I've had it 2 months now its coming up to its first winter service and i was having trouble finding an airfilter for it. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is the correct air filter for my rally? or if it will fit?

Air filter for the 1.3/Rally

Air filter for the 1.3/Rally is the same as the Cuore/Perodua Kelisa and 1.0 Sirion.

Sqaure shaped.

Don't need to waste money on a performance one, as they don't do anything worth the money as proven on mightymods

If you do insist on a "performace" one, K&N cheaper than the Jetex, they only list it for the Kelisa but it is identical.

Thanks

Thank you very much for your help, i've gone for the k&n filter as its washable.

rally 4 filter

what part numbers the kandn?cant find one for a rally2.

One benefit, save money on buying a filter everytime

I have a K&N Filter in my Scooby, okay it will not give any extra performance, but it saves me money when it comes to service time and the filter is due for a change. With somehting like the K&N its for the life of the car and can be cleaned, re-oiled and replaced Smile

'12' Plate Mazda MX-5 2.0 litre NC 3.5 Venture Roadster 160BHP
'15' Plate SEAT LEON 184 FR TDI. 240BHP/500nm Torque.
Past: '53' Plate Yellow YRV Turbo Approx. 150BHP

I remember a test showing

I remember a test showing that when they are cleaned once and then re-oiled, the flow rates are not as good as when the filter was brand new, and the protection levels are worse as the cleaning creates some more tiny holes in the cotton media.

non genuine good quality standard spec filters can be had for less than £10 posted on ebay. Even changed every 10k, That's a lot of motoring before it becomes more expensive than a K&N,

Plus the engine will be healtier for it in terms of bore scratches/piston ring wear
