GPS

Forum:

A question to the forum;

What is the best GPS option to use in my Sporty?

Ideally looking for a 'device' when green laning and offroading to-
1) know where I am
2) get me unlost if required
3) plan routes
4) record routes taken
5) plot waypoints pre & post event
6) potentially use as a road/highway nav tool

Any idea's or solutions (even possibly iPad app?)

well....right now im writing this on my sony Xperia s android phone, now these smartphones nearly all have absolute pukka gps, the best ive ever used as its constantly updated, but they dont really cater for byways n such,.....but in the market you can get for free the ordnance survey map app, which shows your current location, you can plan routes, you can see all pathways etc, my way of thinking tom toms and such are dead technology like cd's n dvds etc.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
