Am looking for a set of tyres for my 94 Fourtrack could I put a different make of all terrain tyre on the front to those on the back ie BF's on the front, Coopers on the rear or would I have to have all four tyres the same make /type if that makes sense 
As long as they are the same
As long as they are the same tyre on the same axle it will be fine, so if you need two tyres then buy two and keep them on either the front or rear axle as a pair.
Suggest Cooper as they are a brilliant tyre and cheap compared to BFG, but handle as well on and off road, and last as long.
