2005 SIRION 1.3SE MANUAL
SPEEDO/TRIPS INOP, ABS /BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON, BUT ABS WORKS. COLD ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING,BUT CAR RUNS FINE, IF YOUDROVE WITH YOUR LEYES SHUT YOU WOULD THINK ALL OKAY!!!!
ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT ON.
CAR WAS LEFT WITH VERY FLAT BATTERY.
CHECKED ALL FUSES, CONNECTORS FOR W/INGRESS/EARTHS ETC.
REALLY NEED WIRING DIAGRAM, AS RETIRED MECH.
CAR HAS ONLY 25000 MILES ON BUT WAS LIKE SWIMMMING POOL AS HAD BEEN LEFT A LONG TIME TIME UNUSED.
BELONGS TO RELATIVE AND HAVE BEEN DRAWN IN!!!!
ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED

Could be anything.
Worth getting hold of a ODB-II type scanning device to see why the ECU light has come up. I'm betting the ABS light coming on has something to do with it. Perhaps and ABS system issue, which the ECU has also logged. Only way to find out is to get a cheap scanner off Ebay, plug into the ODB-II port located under the steering to the bottom left of the centre console for it to scan the ECU for any fault codes.
Failing that could be a simple electrical fault such as a faulty earth connection. If you say the car was in a mess and water logged it could be corroded connections because of this.

VSS error
Not sure about the Siron, but some Daihatsu's have the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) in the speedo clock. This tells the ecu how fast the car is moving so it can trim the fueling for cruising economy and other aspects. If your speedo doesn't work, maybe the speedo cable has snapped and that's why your engine warning light is on because the ECU see's an error with the VSS signal.
Easiest thing would be to scan it for error codes, and have a looks to see if the speedo is cable operated and if its snapped.
