Hi guys, my car is making a hell of noise when going over bumps and pot holes, it doesn't appear to happen when the road is smooth:

I had a look at the ball joints on tie rod ends and lower suspension arm but could not replicate the noise and the rubber boots were not split at all.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks

Hard to tell. My theory it's either suspension or cv joint related.
What are the rubber boots around the cv joint on the drivers side like?
Only other thing to explore is the brake disc on the drivers side. And or has the car been going over any harsh potholes lately?
Hopefully someone else maybe able to put their 2pence worth here.

This Springs to Mind
Sundaybighouse,
My guess is a broken suspension spring, and it can be difficult to see the break with a cursory look under the car.
I would be interested to know what the problem is. Please let us know.

Thanks for the replies.
I will have another look tomorrow and I will post some pictures of suspension area.
No Worries
@Sundaybighouse
No worries.
Try taking a photo of the CV joint boot as well. Could have perished and letting rubbish into the CV bearing.
Big problem with ageing cars.
Hope you get it sorted
