i just went to sort out an oil leak which i thoought was the rocker cover gasket, but upon closer inspection all four corners of the cover are cracked - any ideas why?
any ideas where to get another one from?

Is it a Sportrak? If so,
Is it a Sportrak? If so, like ours, some previous absolute numpty of an owner has ovetightened them, causing stress fractures in the alloy casting.
Got one from a breakers, about a tenner IIRC. Although you can still get them new from Daihatsu.

i had the same problem with mine.its been over tightend.i got my 1 welded for a tenner but you can buy a second had 1.when you fit it make sure you use a tork wrench.and its between 3 and 5 newton.and put a new gasket in aswell
