Forum:
hi evry one
i was just looking on the mud bugz web site and i found some thing that didnt realy make me larf its what he calls "he's how i rate em" page hear is the daihatsu part in his own words:-
Fourtrak..
Another farmers 4x4, although, with low ride height, not much articulation on leaf-sprung axles and a poor record for engine performance, this 4x4 is probably best left to the smaller ruts found around the farm, stay in the tracks!, very square, boxy, lacks style, lacks... yeh, best left on the farm..!
Terios..
Looks like a town car, but has decent off-road abilities too, small engine and lack of ground clearance along with low range gearing limit, hamper its abilities, but will manage the less extreme terrain with ease, could be interesting to modify...!, anyone seen one?
Sportrak..
A fourtrak spin-off, doesn't do much for me in looks but it has selectable 4wd with low ratio, never seen how they perform off-road, but i suspect it has potential..!
i meen come on what is this bloke on i think all daihatsu 4x4 are very capable off road. at woodlands we have had all the daihatsu 4x4 going round not a problem.
let me no what you think
2.8TDS mettalic green, black star mud Tyres, light bar, snorkel, 2" lift, totally off road!!!

Can't comment on the Terios o
Can't comment on the Terios or Fourtrak for off road capability but the sporty seems to go anywhere.
Ok, I'm slightly biased as I have one and most of the fourtraks I've seen around my part of the country seem to be for pulling trailers & school runs.(don't mean to knock you if that's what you use them for
)
In my opinion, if the sporty is as good off road with no modification as I know it is, I can't see that the Fourtrak would be any different.

the bug is alive... it grows within you, slowly takes over your mind, you become a 4x4 addict, live and breathe the mud
