Help needed for New Fourtrak Owner

Forum:

Hi

Have bought a fourtrak (which am having much towing fun with) but the manual is missing. This is not helpful when I'm trying to find out which manual I need to get for it! It's a T reg (1999) Turbo Diesel Independent (Manual). Can someone please tell me exactly which 'F' category this falls into?

Thanks

Nell

Being a diesel, it will be a F7x. The last number will come with the body design. Most common, F70, SWB all steel roof, F75 LWB, resin top stepped roof. F77 utility/pickup. I know that in the UK, there were a few other designations with regards vehicle specs. I know, for example that there is a F73, but I dont know what specs it had. It may have been the SWB soft top.
A check of the compliance plate under the bonnet, on the firewall/baulkhead should answer your question definatively.

Hi Ncruse
Re your 1999 Fourtrack Independant, If it's a short wheelbase it will be an F73. If a long wheel base it will be an F78.
On the engine bay bulkhead there will probably a paper sticker + a metal 'Vin' plate, there will be a long
letter and number combination starting - JDA000F** The two numbers following the letter 'F' will give you the Model No. The rest of the numbers after that is the Serial No. Hope that gives you the info
