wallys fourtrak

Forum:

Hi would anybody know the best place to fit, by either drilling or mounting by clamping ,an antennae for my CB and or 2 mtrs (m3)to my resin top lwb fourtrak (90/h) for keeping in touch offroading thanks....73s......

Theres a number of places you

Theres a number of places you can mount them. If you remove your sunroof, there is a bolt that holds the frame to the roof, at the centre rear. You can use a S shaped mount bolted there and run the cable under the surround. Alternatively, use the same type of mount and use one of the bolts that hold the front wing to the body. Or make up a mount and bolt it to the rear using one of the spare wheel holder bolts. Its only governed by your imagination.

i tried a mag-mount on the me

i tried a mag-mount on the metal roll hoop that runs between the cab and the resin back.. however i was too rough off-road and it wasnt a big sucess! like the spare wheel bracket idea, tis neat and out of way there.. not as prone to damage from vegetation above
