body lift 3" or 2"

Forum:

Ive posted messages a couple of times about lifting my lwb leafsprung fourtrak and thank everyone out there who has been kind enough to help me in my quest to lift my vehicle.

After careful thaught, i have decided to do a body lift, I am just wondering i want to do a 3" body lift, Will i have to start to cut and lengthen brake / fuel pipes or will they streach? If a 3" lift involves a lot of trouble would a 2" body lift be simpler?? I would rather do the 3" but cant afford to have the vehicle off the road for too long. Also do i have to extend the 4wd gear lever??

Thanks again for all your advise

There are enough small dramas

There are enough small dramas with just a 2 inch lift. The biggest problems are, 4wd lever, and steering shaft. With the 2 inch, you can get by with the rest, like brake hoses will stretch the gap, fuel filler hose is easy to do, ect. The 3 inch would mean some of the would require major work, with regards repositioning/refabrication. And the hole for the lever would be enormous.

Cheers
David

Or you can cut the tunnel out

Or you can cut the tunnel out. Leave it at the right hight for the levers. Fill the gaps with plate. And weld everything together.
