HAS ANYBODY FITTED TWO BATTERYS TO A FOURTRACK
MINE IS A 1988 ROCKY BE GLAD OF ANY INFOMATION

Yes, I have done it, to take 2 large batteries. There is heaps of room. But, you have to fabricate the carrier yourself. Remove the fiberglass original, then use any and all the bolts and holes available for the new carrier. I even have a strap up to the left top radiator bolt hole supporting one corner of the carrier. was your old battery not man enough to turn over the starter? the starter could have had a problem! what size battery did you have in the first place? you do realise the correct size battery for the fourtrak is 350mm long and 95ah its only 52 pounds inc vat at my local trade counter!!!

not sure how you get from, can you fit two batteries to i changed the starter?

A twin battery setup has no benefit in starting capability.

The main battery is used for cranking and the other battery is used to run accessories and such.

If they were wired up in parallel, ie + to + and - to -, with the same size battery cable as is used from starter to + and cahssis to -, then effectively, you have one large battery. However, the problem with this setup is if one battery is weaker than the other, the stronger one will lose some charge to the weaker one on a continual basis.
