After alot of consideration and looking at your site I relented and switched from an old 1974 series 111 landie to an S reg Fourtrak TDX riviera. I couldnt be more pleased up to now as I was getting a bit fed up of the landrover spending more time in the garage than out.
Bought it Friday and drove it home to Pembrokeshire almost 160 mile without a problem.
I would like to know if it is possible to do away with the immobiliser on a sportrak. It is starting to be difficult and is a bloody nuisance anyway. Would removing it affect my insurance.?

Amazingly my 1998 Fourtrak TDX with 30,400 miles on the clock still has the original GS battery in use. Does anyone have an older battery still in service
have had a few probs with the Terios (2008);
For a few months she has occassionally, when driving at 60-70mph,just dropped to about 2000 rpm with no power. The only thing to do is pull over, turn off,wait 2 mins and all is fine. Local mechanic could find no faults or explanation.
hi again had problems with my fuel gauge but think i have finaly fixed it.
the problem i have now is that when i turn ignition off the gauge stays at same position.
(the temp gauge returns to zero) but the fuel one stays where it was.
so can anyone tell me if this is the normal operation (i.e. what does yours do)
any help on this would be much apprieciated.
My 03 Diahatsu Terios 1.3petrol has started stuttering on accelaration although it never cuts out.It has 130k on the clock and I recently changed the timing chain and adjuster due to the old chain being noisey.It has also been recently serviced.Please can you give me some advice on the possible causes?
My duaghter has dicided that her SportsTrack has to go. She is doing more miles to work and her boy friend has got an Isuzu 4WD so a smaller car is needed Its up for sale in the Ads section. I was wondering if it was worth more as broken spare ??? trouble is that it is still a good car so would be a shame to break it. Whats the genral thoughjts on this ???
I have recently purchased an f50 with an eagle GDP body . It is complete with hard top .
Does anyone know where I would source a soft top roof for it . As the vehicle is black and I don't wanna get cooked in the summer !!!!
