My Daihatsu

My Rocky

Hi everybody...

wanna tell u bout my story with my rocky...he is the best pal i have ever had..

When my city got flooded...i am ok with my rocky..while the other cars are off..

When i had a traffic jam...bad one out of town...i managed to ride on the countryside and passed through the bad traffic..

When my wheel slipped into a big hole...i can manage without necessary helping hands...

My rocky always accompanied me everyday...anywhere...without no worries...

And i am just a mom of 2 boys :)...

Hello, i have been looking for a fibreglass body or a good condition metal one for my dads daihatsu F50, if any one knows of where there is one please email me at eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%6b%61%74%68%66%65%72%6e%73%40%68%6f%74%6d%61%69%6c%2e%63%6f%6d%22%3e%6b%61%74%68%66%65%72%6e%73%40%68%6f%74%6d%61%69%6c%2e%63%6f%6d%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b'))

Sad tale of "ROCKY"

I believe you Guys already know this one.? When Diahatsu first introduced the Fourtrak to the UK, they made a limited no. of special trucks, this came with a soft top and optional hard top, folding windscreen, and every part above the wastline removable to create a totally flat area from bonnet line up, like the original landy. Wide chrome 8 spokes, side steps, light guards, bull bar etc..... Well I've got one which I've had for about 16 years, was my workhorse towing a trailer, etc..

I have recently bought a LWB 1994 L Daihatsu Fourtrack 2.8 TDX and paid £2700 for it. Only had it three months when the power steering pump decided to shear off its mounting bolts! So into the garage it goes, found that studs where still in the engine block and they had to be removed. So because of the difficulty of getting to them the engine had to be taken out, once out the studs where extracted & they also noticed the clutch was on the way out so it was replaced. All is good and off i drive on my holiday to Ireland in the Fourtrack. On my return i remember the MOT was soon due so when i arrived home i booked it in at the garage. Failed, great i thought hopefully not much will need doing.......

Hello all - we've just bought our first Daihatsu, a Rugger 2.8TD (Marine Runner), although we've previously had a selection of Suzuki, Subaru and Toyota 4WDs. A recent Jap import, our Daihatsu is proving to be a very good buy and now we've found this great site which is very informative for us as first-time Daihatsu owners. We bought the Rugger as a replacement vehicle, just stumbling over it by accident at a local garage one day. A few minutes of looking over it and hubby was hooked. Took it for a test drive and so was I. Can see it giving us lots of reliable, happy driving and it's easy to see why people love their Daihatsus so much!

Hello all, my first contribution to this great site.wondered if anyone is interested in my fourtracking to date. bought an 87 f70 six months ago mainly to launch and recover my 16ft boat after a nasty moment on a slipway in my wifes nearly new non 4wd car! now banned from taking it any where near water.looked at alot of 4wd at the time even a couple of land rovers but decided that a fourtrack was the one to get as it was the right size and of basic construction,no on board computers or tricky black boxes.

sorry to see my fourtrak feildman go

Ive had my 2.8td fourtrak feildman 96 for a few years now never lets me down and now i am forced to sell. As i am in the building trade (paint&decor) it has done me proud. now the wife whats me to get rid of it becuse she got a commpany car and i have to get the bus to work. not for long becuse im going to get another one in a couple of years.

My First Daihatsu

Goodday to you all

My name is Ruud de Bruin a daihatsu drive for about 10 Years.
When I started every body was driving Susuki, lada, landrover, patrols.
Those cares didn't make me jump.
Till I met my first Taft.
It toke me about six months to find a taft in quit good condition,it was a red
F20 with soft top I was very happy with it.
But after a will due to offroad driving, maintance was requierd so i did learn all about my F20 and how to fix it and keeping it running.
But the time came for a complete overall, the satisfaction after was it all.
To see you oldy as new.

On the moment I have a Daihasu F25 pickup.
