I have a daihatsu fourtrak 1995 2.8 TD F78W 000353 Japanese import .
Can someone tell me what type of drive i have on camshaft , ie belt/chain/gears/ and when it should bechanged if required.
we've just bought a r reg 2.8 fourtrak for my other half to use, and we're picking it up on the first. it needs a bit of love to get it through its mot, (rear suspension mounts and sill rust) which is pretty standard.
looking forwards to working on it, and sharing our experiences with the truck on here. ive no doubt il be asking questions down the line, so thanks in advance for any help you give.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I'm wondering whether there is a market for a Sporttrak with a corroded chassis but excellent interior, good engine etc? My father has one that he is looking to part with but, since he isn't internet-savvy, asked me to see whether there is a market. I've looked in the usual sites and there is very little around so thought I'd contact you good people to see whether any enthusiasts are interested. I looked on the classifieds and couldn't see any ads at all so wasn't sure whether they are in use.
Hello, i have a feroza for spare parts and it has LSD in the rear (lucky me :D). My daily feroza has open diff. Does anyone know if the LSD will fit into open diff housing?
Hi all, I´m putting a DL52 engine in a Series 3 Land Rover. There´s some kind of control device attached with two black wires/tabs to the glow plug rail. The device is a plastic tube shaped, app 3" long/0,50" dia. Two wires, brown/white, both cut. What´s the purpose of this tube and how do I hook it up?
I´m assuming it´s some kind of control device, maybe connected to a "Glow plug indicator" bulb in the dash, to let me know when the plugs are heated. When checking the wiring diagram, there´s a "Glow plug controller", but can´t find any more info or pic.
Does someone could tell me, suitable front shock absorbers for Terios 1,3, 2010, 86 hp, gas/benzine? Or some info which other Terios variations use the same absorbers?
The following two models which come up from my search using VIN number and the original absorber number (48510-B4011) turns out that are not suitable.
They are with diameter of the stem under the thread = 18mm
- MONROE, item number: D0308
- KYB, item number: 333496
The original shock absorber is with diameter of the stem under the thread = 15mm

I have a new to me Daihatsu Terios SX 2007 having had 3 previous old-shape Terios'.
I have found a button that says MODE to the right of the steering wheel, not far from next to the Diff Lock button and I sure did not have one of them in my old cars and there is nothing in the Manual about this button.
I sure would appreciate any info on the mysterious MODE button.
