Now, some numpty wrote in Saturday's 'Times' newspaper that no visible smoke is to be allowed from a diesel. Dunno which world this guy inhabits.
OK, my 1998 4trak is old, but it still scores around 1 unit on the MOT smoke test (pass level is less than 3 units for turbo or 2.5 units for non-turbo), but as sure as eggs is eggs, if I put it in second gear and run it up to 3000 rpm with my 2 ton trailer on the back, it's guaranteed to smoke somewhat.
Anyone need a Terios rear axle with all brakes and brackets I bought it for a trike project but it's too heavy for a motorcycle trike. Any offers please

Hi,I’ve had my daihatsu for about 3 months and on Monday I noticed a strange knocking if you let the clutch or accelerator pedal up sharply,my daughters jimny did something similar and it was the transfer box mount,hubby works away so if I can find any info out before he comes back it would be good,Tia

I have recently acquired a F78 Fourtack (96 P reg) from Britain
I live in France, and am trying to register it there, where there isn't a a hefty Road tax on it, but have run into big paperwork problem.
As Daihatsu are no longer selling in Europe, their paperwork support has disappeared, so I can't get a Certificate of Conformity to show the car is allowed to be registered in the EU- and no the fact it already is registered in the EU doesn't get anywhere with them...
We are urgently looking for a cylinder head suitable for reconditioning, ie. not cracked or overheated, for our 1998 2.8 diesel turbo Fourtrak. Can anyone help?
