people say using 4 wheel drive on a hard surface (ie road )wrecks the transmission my question is why??
surely this carnt be ,when fourtraks are used off road there not always in the slopps
I'm a newbie. My partner has a 97 Daihatsu Terios which is fantastic. I have been slowly servicing it for her using the owners manual as a guide. What I would love is a Workshop Manual. Does anyone know where I could get one?
Hi just found this site think its brill, iv been building off road sportraks for about five years now with me mate.we have plans for winch bumpers deisel convertion and suspention mods.we have don two sporty bodys and put them on 4 trac running gear end up with a coil sprung deisel sportrak we try to only start with rust free sportys but its getting harder to find them.I have put some pics of a car we just finished on the gallary p reg blue one

Hi to all I'm new to this and have just purchased a fourtrak independent tdx 2.8 and am struggling to find roof bars to fit that will carry things like triple extension ladders easy to get front bars over driver cab so to speak but not the back been told by a roof rack place where i live that there isn't one for the back as its not metal and not load bearing would need to get one made up although there to me seems like there are fixing points on the top of the back don't know anything about cars not mechanically minded lol so any advice would be very much appreciated thanks
could anyone please tell me the correct way of adjusting the tappets,i have no manual as yet,if i do adjust tappets will this throw the timing out.

I have a L Reg 1993 Fourtrak Independent TDL Estate F78 .
could some one advise the differences between the F78 & F73?
The difference spec between the independent TDL & TDX?

hi! im new to this forum. im just wondering if anyone has turned a sportrak into a trailer to be pulled behind their road going sportrak abit like people do with mini's. ive started by cutting the front end of and putting a towbar and plating the front end up. i have plans to make it into a little caravan with 2 beds inside and a fridge and stove which come out with the back door. i enjoy camping so this will be abit different to turn up at a camp site with.
