Escort vs Shogun

Forum:

Saw something funny today, there is a long village near me you have to drive through and its always busy, cars parked everywhere, people pulling out, reversing in, whatever, you know, there is always people jamming on brakes and rubber necking and as i went through i saw 2 police cars and an ambulance cos an escort had gone into the back of a late 90's shogun, now the shogun i think had a scratch on the rear bumper and the essy's bonnet/front end is now half the size it was when it left the factory lol, it wasnt a major crash but what an impact!!

The time has come-----

Forum:

Well, I didnt think yesterday would come, but it has been and gone.

I havent posted for quite a while, but the older members will probably remember me. I had a 1985 F75 Rocky, fitted with Detriot Lockers front and rear, and factory PTO winch, amongst a whole heap of other modifications. I have owned it for about 15 years.

I need advice on buying a new clutch (Fourtrak 2.8 1992)

Forum:

My clutch is on its way out and I have someone who is going to help me fit a new one but I am looking for any advice on where to get a new one from.

I have got prices from £100 - £260. The cheaper versions are from Ebay sellers - does anyone have any comments on the likely quality of these parts?

Can anyone give me an idea of the best place to get reasonable quality at the best price?

another good reason to own an old rocky - mpg

Forum:

Hi all, would like some feedback on this if you want, i have had to change my fuel tank due to a pepperpot - no probs, but by doing so i have drained my fuel tank a couple of times, i made a note of how much fuel i had got, i was pretty maticulous about this as i am always interested in my mpg,i have always guessed it has done around the 35-40 mpg mark, i measured it, put it back, tripped my milometer, and over a couple of days doing various journeys at about 40mph on 31-10.5 r15 tyres i recorded (using a gallon at 4.5 litres) that my f70 does a lovely 37.5 mpg, not bad for a twenty year ol

Feroza Newbie

Forum:

Hey guys, just got myself a feroza for my first 4x4 and sure am impressed so far, only a few little things that were easily fixed (adj clutch, refurbed wheels, and a good hose down) although this morning summit seemed to work loose and stopped the engine dead, rolled it back in 5th free'd it up but theres definatly something in there.... Left it with the garage to let them find it though, hopefully its nothing to serious (touch wood).... will post up pics once i get it back.

K reg 8700 genuine miles?

Forum:

Anyone got a 16yr old car with this few miles on it? All mileage checked with the previous one owner from new, put a K+N filter on, changed the plugs and oil+filter and as well as having a rather tasty induction noise it goes a damn sight faster then the original air box, pics will be posted tomorrow of the car and engine bay which is in the process of being tidied up a little Biggrin
