Terios Dog Guard

Forum:

Hi,
I'm new ! Only just purchased my first Terios SX 2006 and I am needing advice on what other dog owners have fitted to their Terios. I want a mesh dog guard and as much coverage as possible(no big gaps between guard and vehicle). Any advice would be greatly welcomed. I have made a similar post elsewhere on here, as you can understand I'm not yet sure of how to work my way around the site. Thank You.
Catriona.

Alternator Vacuum Line

Forum:

Greetings Drivers,

Working on the engine of my F73, I come across this vacuum line coming from the alternator vacuum pump but not plugged anywhere on the other side!
The vacuum pump has 3 lines, 1 to the brake servo, 1 to a vacuum distributor (splitting and routing vacuum to the transfer case) and 1 going to the back of the engine, behind the turbo, that's left open!

Below are pictures where you can see it.

New Copen (Japanese version)

Forum:

Just seen two 14 plate .7 Copens advertised on ebay/autotrader from a Japanese importer.

Does anyone know how they differ from the original- whether they are any bigger inside, and if specs are legal for UK as they are specified as Japanese version(I presume they must have sorted that out before advertising them)

They look great and having had a year of being without my Smart Roadster ,I would like to try another convertible but this time reliably!

Previously had Rally2 and most recently Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart so I want something as reliable.

Left hand drive headlights

Forum:

After four years back from France I am thinking of going back with my ancient Sportrak and an Extol Van. Now I wrote in 2006 about getting headlight replacements for the Sporty but of course when I came back I stupidly got rid of the LHD units. The Extol, well that is newer but parts seem to have dried up. There was a company in Normandy, Distripieces Normandy, that did these Daihatsu lights but supply seems to have dried up.

My question is has anyone any ideas as to a supplier of these LHD units for a 1991 Sporty an a 2004 Extol van?

Thanks for your time

Compare Suzuki LJ80 and Daihatsu Taft F10

Forum:

Hello from a new member based in Rome, Italy. I am hoping some of you Daihatsu enthusiasts can help me compare the Daihatsu F10 with the Suzuki LJ80. I currently own a Zuke and have been looking at a beautifully restored F10 from 1976. For me most use will be "for show" in any case rather than off-road, but I am interested in learning more about the characteristics and performance of the Daihatsu. Thanks for any direct responses, or links to or electronic copies of articles, reviews, etc.

Identifying an Early Daihatsu Engine

Forum:

I have recently acquired a Land Rover Series 2 which has been retro fitted with an early Daihatsu engine which is great as I understand these early Daihatsu engines are bullet proof, however I need to identify what engine it is for the insurance.

I believe it may be a DG 2.5 from an F50, however all I really know is it is a naturally aspirated diesel and what the engine number is, as none of the documentation gives any indication of capacity or model etc.

Is there any easy way to identify the engine?

Thanks
