hello guys i just would like to know if the leaf spring bushes are universal for all leaf spring cars or is there an specific measurement for my 1986 2.8 daihatsu rocky.
first of all i would really appreciate any answer that i can get, i have a 1986 daihatsu rocky 2.8 diesel non turbo that i bough a few weeks ago, i want to make sure the engine its on really good shape for at least another 5 years or so and i would like to do an overhaul or change most of the main parts ( pistons,rings,cylinders,bearings,gaskets etc,etc,etc ). i would like to know if does inside parts of the engine como only for daihatsu rocky or can i fit any other parts as longs as is the correct size and measurements.
hi guys i have a 1986 2.8 non turbo rocky and i just bough it a few days ago, its a little beat up by time but its my project car. now the thing is that engine runs great but i cant turn it off with the key i have to turn it off manualy by pulling on a string that kills the engine. now i would like to know if it is something serious or is it just a matter of buying a part and it will work just fine.
Hope some one out there can help with this problem, just brought an 89 LWB four track but it has no revesing lights, checked the lamps and they are both ok.
Checked the posotive feed to the lamps and am not getting a feed, so it my surgest that a switch is not working.
My question is can any one tell me were the lights get there demand to come on once reverse has been selected ?.
hello all you daihatsu lovers, i have a 1986 daihatsu rocky 2.8 non turbo diesel long wheel base with leaf springs and i found a place that makes them and give them more radius curvature and also makes them either softer or harder so i can lift my rocky. now my question is:
-is this a good idea as far as just making new leaf sprins all around a little softer so i can get a much soft ride.
how easy is it to get parts for fourtraks? im looking to buy a 4x4 and having a look about theres a few i like but was wondering if theres a prob getting any parts for them?
Hello all, I live in Panama and have come across a 1999 Rocky SE 2.8TurboDiesel with 55,000kms. The owner tells me the vehicle was first used on 2004. The vehicle seems to be in very good condition, the engine seems fine, no visible leaks and underneath there is a leak in the transfer/front diff that the owner thinks is just the screw being poorly tightened. Also when driving and pressing the clutch some motion is felt in the engine bay dont know if could be loose motor or tranny mounts.

I've got a vacuum developing in the fuel tank which releases with a 'hiss' everytime I open the fuel cap, and occasionally I can hear glugging and air movement noises whilst I'm driving. This is presumably the tank trying to suck some air in when the vacuum gets too much.
