Hi I'm fairly new to this forum but have read threads in the past that have been most helpful. I have two terios a mk 1 plus and a facelift el. I needed a spare key for the plus and was shocked at prices so last ditch I went to tesco yesterday where key cutters usually have a unit. They cut me a transponder key in 15 mins and programmed a new chip all for £30 . So felt I would post that just in case anyone else needs one cut.... dealer wanted £90 for transponder key then another sum of money which they couldn't disclose to program it .....
I understand that Fourtraks due to the old technology of their engine design are not suited to synthetic oils. Our trusty Fourtrak has always had mineral oil at changes but I noticed when buying oil for a change recently that the own brand supermarket product that I have used previously is now a semi-synthetic.
Hi all just purchased a Fourtrak and joined the site to meet other enthusiasts.
I'm not a hundred % what model I have it's a 92 2.8 TDX Lwb.i think it's an F75??
Seems a tidy motor so far.
Hi i'm Glynn my wife and i have recently got a 2003 terios sport, so far we like it more compact than the mondeo we gave up for it but i ride a BMW R80GS so the ride hight is one point i like and the off road capabilities too not that i have done any of that as i am new to 4x4 well i have been up a mountain track in corfu in a jimny, and being sort of new to yorkshire too i'm hoping to be able to hook up with people to pick brains about what's best to do and how stuff works little trix etc
so this is my big wave and hi to you all
Hi..... I'm new to the forum and hope you can help me. I am trying to find out if the track dimensions on the the early model Fourtraks are the same as the later models (93' onwards). I know that the later models are wide bodied but is this just wider wheels and extended arches?
Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the lower dashboard heater vents from a Sportrak?
The bit that adjusts the direction of the air flow has fallen off and I can't get to it without removing the vent. I dont want to just yank it off because i will break it and i dont want to remove the whole dash to get to the tubing behind, so does anyone know a way to easily get it off?
Thanks.
