Spending a fun few hours digging & hand winching the fourtrak out of a snow filled ditch today I kept hearing what can best me described as an electric cow moo from the rear of the vehicle but all the electrics (lights etc.) were off and the ignition key was in my pocket. The noise only lasted a second & wasn't regular so I had no chance to locate it any further but I don't like the idea of something electrical running when the truck is switched off. Any ideas at all as to what it could be? I've got the standard immobiliser (its a '97 TDX) but no alarm.
Hi, i am planning on using a 2.8 motor for a project 4x4 i'm making and wondered what the difference between the motors is? i have already bought a complete 'trak with a DL50 in it but wondered if there will be much gain selling it and getting a newer variant? i have spotted mine hasnt got an intercooler fitted although i will rectify this when it is fitted in the new vehicle anyway,

Hi, I've just got my first Fourtrak (97 TDX on 127k miles) after years of Land rovers and Hiluxs(i?) & so far I'm well impressed with the road manners and fuel economy but as always with an old car bought in the dark after a 2 minute test drive there are a view niggles y'all might be able to help with;

The sportrak front bumper is a strange design with a long horizontal slot cut in it, is this to mount a small winch behind it and allow the cable to go through it?

hey new owner for ireland, just bought a rocky 1600 petrol, its the hard top convertable model im looking for the back window as it didnt come with one, im finding this hard to get in ireland and hints or tips will be greatly apriciated
basicly got given a sporty off my boss have done a fair bit of work to it myself and im looking into jacking it up a few inches. just want to know what kind of lift would be best without spending to much cash haha
Im in need of a few parts for my 1991 sportrak and im having problems locating them? Ive been to all local motor-factors , scrap yards and suppliers listed on here so Im wondering if the parts i need could be found on other daihatsu's?
after running in 4 wheel drive i get a 'rubbing' noise when i turn the steering, even slightly, this disappears after a couple of minutes in 2wd, i first thought it was snow/ice built up on the front arches, any ideas???
