Hi all. I have a K reg Sportrak that we have used been using as a tow vehicle for a couple of years. For the past 9 months my son used it as a daily drive. It has been great and as seasoned Fourtrak/Sportrak owners will know, just carried on through January's snow like it was June, passing stranded X5's, Cayennes etc! Just recently an MOT tester, who must have been one of the X5 drivers, decided that it should be off the road...
Thought it might be an idea to say hello. I thought I was signed up to this forum from about five years ago but seems not. We have owned a '98 Fourtrak for nearly 10 years and it's been an absolute star, never let me down and is always dependable. It's now suffering from a touch of sill rust but otherwise is great.
I am currently using Shell Rimula R3X 15W-40 for my F73 (DL42 N/A engine). Now I am somewhat interested in using Mobil Delvac MX 15W-40 only because the classification is higher (CI-4). Whether the protection given to my engine would be better? Or actually Shell's good enough for my engine? Thanks for your opinion.
