I have had my 1300 project for over a year and got some good headway on welding up all the horrors. It is a big job and unfinished. Even I if I do complete it, I am going to struggle to use it due to health issues, as its is a manual transmission. I have an auto car that is like new (Daihatsu!) that covers all my basic use.
The idea was originally to build a micro all in one RV leisure wagon and I still have a goal to do that, at the time I thought I would get better and that is not going to happen naturally.
Hi, im new to the forum and currently own a 2001 Daihatsu Atrai 7. My insurance is up for renewal but trying to obtain quotes is a nightmare as majority of company's dont have Atrai on their systems (even tried a few jap import specialist), but however a few have quoted me based on my vehicele being a Hijet. I wanted advice on this as not 100% sure if insuring my vehicle as a Hijet would be legal.
I have recently purchased a Materia but it didn't come with a remote fob. After looking at specs I believe it should be central looking. Can I purchase a fob and program it myself. If I can any advice on what to get. Thank you.

I have a 2004 Extol which my wife adores. We have now moved back to France, sorted the headlights and it sailed through the Control Technique (MOT). We then applied to Daihatsu France for a Certificate of Conformity @ 250€. After some time I received a brief letter of Non Conformity from them, referring me to DREAL,( Weights and Measures). They charged me 86€ to look at the details before referring me UTAC near Paris. A Commander at UTAC replied that I would have to take the Extol to their site near Paris and pay 2000€ for them to inspect it .
