Apart from driving slower and more consistent, less hard acceleration, having tyres inflated properly, no roofrack, windows down, better gear changes etc etc...is there any way or gadget that will provide better fuel economy?!

what mpg can i expect engine runs sweet considering it stood for three mths before i bought it total price with mot £240
going to do the plugs oil filter air filter fuel filter run a can of injector magic throught it as well
what else can i do to get better mpg
Can anyone tell me where i can get a set of replacement wheel nuts for the alloy wheels on my f78 - the factory fitted pepperpot type wheels. The nuts are longer than ones fitted to steel rims.

coule of paint scratches but no dents
66 k miles
no rust underneath
took for a mot adviced on one brake pipe starting to get a bit ropey but not a fail
taxing it tomorrrow and on the road
happy as a pig in siht
only things to sort out are interior light not working and central lock
Hello everybody. I am new to the world of Daihatsu, I had an old saab 99 before but my friend was selling his Fourtrak tdx and after a test drive i had to have it. It has done 120,000 miles, has a bit of rust around the arches but a fresh mot and tax. It just had £500 spent for the mot, it had new sills etc. I am going to make a diy snorkel in the next few weeks, and black hammerite the wheels as they are a bit rusty. I am wondering where i could get plastic arch extentions, and if anybody has removed the front bumper and re located the number plate?
Just wondering what would be the best replacment for Fourtrak.I have a 97 Independent, i wouldnt mind getting a late model one with airbag,ABS but that would be extremely difficult..what is the closest natural replacement since fourtraks arent made any more? Im thinking similar size, diesel, 30MPG +, 3 door, hi/low ratio, a tad more modern, airbag, abs, rugged and reliable.
ive just logged in to say that i have returned to the daihatsu world.about 2 years ago i had a 2.2 petrol lwb fourtrak,(the best car i ever owned,brilliant),it took me everywhere,no problems,no rust,fantastic.I had to sell it ,as needs must,etc,I went through a few cars,including a v8 discovery,(it scared the shit out of me driving over 60mph),and rust buckets.
