Hi
All Daihatsu Owners,
Just thought I would write and tell you all about my experience with Mr
Engine.
I joined the Daihatsu Club when I was having trouble with my 1990
Daihatsu Sportrak. After having had her for 18 years, she nearly had to
go. But I found a site called
Mr Engine, who do low millage reconditioned engines for
all Japanese cars and she came back to "life again".
hi,just had my f78 fourtrack motted and passed with flying colours,on the way home i noticed the sound of the engine had changed from before the mot and was a lot noisier and sounds flat. i was told they ref the engine very high, could this have damaged the engine.i have looked underneath and the exaust is ok,no leaks etc,i was wondering if any one else has come across anything like this.thanks

I have recently bought a '95 Timberline Sportrack on ebay and whilst it has not been plain sailing (new transfer box already fitted) I am enjoying the overall ownership experience.
I do have a few queries which i don't doubt have already been answered on other forums but for ease i will put them together here.
I had the wire break off the stop solenoid on the VE pump strand me for 2 hours by the road this weekend until I figured it out. Has anyone fit a cable pull fuel stop? Care to share how?
MOT coming up and need to do a bit of welding to the usual sills and rear quarter of my F78 . I know I can get sills from Daihatsu but they don't go back to the rear quarter - so wondered if anyone knows where I can get aftermarket body panels from, here in the UK?
I have owned my fourtrak for just over a month now. I love it to bits but id like to raise it a bit as its still quite low underneath off roading, where can i get shocks and springs and is that all id need to raise it a few inches? I have seen parts on a site that raise the body 2" but they are for leaf springs.
