I am reluctantly thinking of selling my Fieldman Truck for something with more seats. I have found a P reg Fourtrak with 100K on clock which is pretty much immaculate. 12 months MOT and lots of extras. They are asking £3200 for it. What do ya reckon?
Also, any ideas on what I will get for my M reg Fieldman, 180K on clock and little bit rough round edges? Very very reliable though.
Just picked up a 93 sportrak to muck about in, just thought I'd say hello, driven off road before but in series landies. Thought I'd give summat smaller and more reliable a go.
Apart from cam,fan and power steering belts,is there anything else I really need to look at swapping or checking straight away?
Hi, does any one know where i can get some replacement panels/ cover strips that go around the rear of a fourtrak.
they seem to cover some screws and come in 3 pieces
Just noticed recently that when I go to fill up, there is a clearly audible suction noise as I take the fuel filler cap off. I'm guessing this is caused by a vacuum developing in the tank as the engine draws fuel. The engine runs fine by the way.
Much is said about the torsion bars on independents limiting the suspension travel, this is a simple problem to cure.
Torsion bars manufactured by aftermarket suppliers are often uprated items, much the same as Milners leaf springs, these limit the articulation of the front suspension when off road.
A subject that I was tossing over a few evenings ago,after reading an article on equal wheel size 4WD tractors, thought it might have some bearing/implications on 4x4 trucks.
Ay up guys,its my first post on here so hello everybody,Ive just sold my 90 to get a pajero for our lass (which she loves)and now I want another offroader for me,I dont want another "Land..break down every 5 mins..rover"so ive narrowed it down to two motors,one being the jeep cherokee 4 litre and the other being the fourtrak,I know the max size tyre/wheel I can put on a cherry is 31" like I had on my 90,but im just a bit worried about the 4trak,it looks a bit low,so say I put a 2" lift on it what is the max size tyres i could go to?can I put 33,s on?
Does anyone know the max tyre size i can get for my fourtrak if i get the two inch lift shackles. Also does anyone know how to do the axle over leaf spring lift and if so how much does it actually lift.
