Hi after a cheap runabout, due to not wanting to put too much milage on my GTti (also petrol prices as we all know suck!). So was thinking of a G100 Charade TD (the MPG sounds great!). One would be easy to work with, but I know that they seem to be as rare as Gttis these days!
Anyone with any knowledge of any going preferably in the south, please let me know?

Out of curiosity would the ratios be different from a '86 TD LWB to a 1990 LWB TD?

Reason I say, is when we first used our '86 fourtrak, we could aim it a very very steep incline and put her in 1st gear low range and it would do such a controlled descent using lots of engine breaking.
