I've just bought a Rugger here in the UK and was wondering how difficult it will be to get parts for it. Is the Rugger a re-badged Fourtrak or does it have specific parts not found on the Fourtrak?
Also, what country was the Rugger made for and how does the spec compare with a UK Fourtrak?
On the way i have a set of sidesteps for my Sportrak. They are second hand and come without the mounting bolts.
Can anyone give me any advice ref fitting the steps. Should i anticipate any problems.
What size nuts and bolts are required to fit the steps, any ideas?
Advice appreciated, new to Sportrak. Used to have a Celica 2.0 GT, bit of a difference!!!!
Gary.
Does anybody have experience of replacing the windscreen in a Sportrak? I am aware of the piece of string trick and expected to remove old glass and install the screen while the rubber gasket remained in the car. However, a colleague suggests removing the rubber gasket from the car and fitting that to the windscreen first, out of the car, and then refitting the gasket complete with screen to the body frame afterwards.
The colour code on my (Dark grey over silver) F78 is NB8. Presumably this refers to the grey bit. Can anyone advise on a code for the silver?? I presume the silver bit is the same on all the two-tone fourtraks but I don't know
Calling on a kind hearted patient soul to answer my daft questions.
Can anyone tell me what oil is recommended for a 1990 TD fourtrak, as you have probably gathered I know very little about 4x4's.
Another issue I have is this -
I have bought my fourtrak to tow a horse trailer, I dont have any problems going forwards but all hell breaks loose when I try to reverse it!:-?
Its probably my driving as Im not used to driving a trailer, but someone mentioned to me that I could change down a gear by using that little gear stick and I might find it easier!
Hello everyone. I just bought a '94 F78 (TDX Independant), my 1st Daihatsu, and I'm impressed. I want to buy a service manual but I see that the ones advertised on the site don't seem to cover the F78. Can anyone help??
Can anyone tell me, or do you know how i can find out the age of my engine from the engine number - 458396? And before you ask, it's not in the original vehicle.
Cheers
