Just changed the oil and filter in the Foutrak for first time, not a bad job but filter could be easier to get at. Anyone know the Daihatsu part Number for a 2.8TD engine oil filter ?.
Thought I'd change the water as well, it looked a bit rusty, probably lack of corrosion inhibitor when it was last done. Took off the header tank and thoroughly washed it out before re fitting. Drained rad, took out thermostat and put stat housing back on. With a powerful garden hose running into the filler cap orifice I ran the engine up so water was circulating and held the hose in the rad. This has the effect of replacing the water that's draining from the bottom of the rad and getting clean water right round the system. Ran about four big buckets of water through and dumped them down the drain, if you get it on your tarmac or concrete drive it can cause bad rusty stains.
Hi All you Daihatsu owners, Ive recently bought the above and trying to find out how to set the manual choke. or to get hand book that tells me all those things
thanks for any help

Hello,
I bought a Terios Just over a year ago, I was wondering when should I do any service on it. I change the oil after 2.000 km and on the 12000km.I now have 24.000km. I was wondering if I need any major service (change air filters, breaks etc) . I am looking on the manual and I do not find any suggestions. Can any one help me please???
Hi all, I just had my suzuki sj written off, some plonker hit my behind.
I have always loved these sportys because of the hard roof and clean interiors and the pully engine and ......Oh youve heard it all before.
I was a bit lucky and brought mine for £400 with a privite plate, and a long pink sticker down one side.
I do however have a few problems with it, It has two differant size tyres, 1 being 195t15 on the front and the rears being 205/70t15?????? Any idea on what this is meant to be, also we have a missfire, i located this to number 4 cylinder, with a Broken ht lead, so i found one to replace with, but its still missfiring, poss plug.
Hi,
just my luck, just as I become interested in a Fourtrak there are non for sale in my area for me to go and sit in.
Why would he want to sit in it you might ask. well I am 6'7" tall and have a vast ammount of trouble fitting in most 4x4's Landrover forget it, designed around the 11 year old daughter of a very small man.
Same with all the pickups etc, just can't fit in them.
So to save me going on a very wild goose chase, what are your impressions on driver leg and head room?
Has anyone looked at the website for Daihatsu Japan? There are some weird and wonderful motors to see there. I was very impressed with how much content the site has. Although it's in Japanese, if you look along the bottom toolbar when you point your mouse at an option, your choice appears in English. I looked for the Terios and found a lot of variation. I particularly liked the double headlights, different from the UK spec and improves the look of the car a great deal. Will I be able to change the headlights in my Terios for these? Can they be sourced in the UK?
When was the intercooled model of Fourtrak introduced and how is it identified (ie model number etc) I am currently looking for one but am not sure of the above points. Is there any advantage over the other models I thought that the extra power would give better fuel economy.
Cheers
Alan
