I have a N/A 2.5 DG diesel engine, which is smoking like mad out of the Crank case ventilation pipe. I'm pretty sure its the piston rings, but my local dealer doesn't seem that knowledgable on older parts. Im therefore looking for any help locating new piston rings, valve stem seals etc, or even a new engine if it comes to it. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While investigating a knocking sound from the left rear when I hit a bump, I discovered someone had inserted a plank of wood behind the left rear interior panel. I don't think this is a safety feature, or required to prevent wiring shorts, but I removed it and fixed my knock! Well, one of them anyway...
I wanted to ask what the 3x3 inch silver box is behind the rear left interior panel. Is that the "ECU"?
We have just bought our first Fourtrak (8-1993)2.8 TD Independent. Car drives really good (even it has done 100K) and I am just woundering whether I should be concerned about 'surface' rust on the chassis and body.
Has anybody tips / advice for firms to use or is it a job I can do myself? Is there any particular spot which is known for causing problems and in I should tackle first?

Well i have a terios mk1 for 12 mths now. Brought it from the main daihatsu dealer in my area. 44,000 miles, 1 owner, and its purple. Best car i have ever brought, and i tell you ive had some, ( bmw 528i, volvo 760, vauxhall omega 2.0).

after reading on this board about undoing a wrong plug to fill the box and something dropping off i am worried that i am goign to screw the box up by un doing the wrong thing. when lead underneith the car with my feet towards the engine and head towards the tank which side is the filler plug on. what is it next to and what size is the plug. as i am only 15 i dont fancy lifting that box out not lik
When driving at night a number of friends have commented about the poor quality of the F75's headlamps. I have checked the lamps and the correct halogens are fitted with the reflectors in good order. As I'm getting fed up with the comments each time I give a mate a lift I wonder if any of you have had a similar problem. Is there a way I can improve the headlamps other than fitting spots
Does anyone know where to find a source for different bearing measurements? It is starting to get annoying trying to find out size for different bearings before starting to change them. My -89 rocky (F70) is in everyday use so it would help to have all needed parts before starting the repairs. Finland doesn't have anyone importing the vehicle. And trying to get them from Japan is allmost impossible.
