Bought sister a 2007 Daihatsu Sirion with 1.0 engine. Amazing in town + economical. Problem on motorway she says it won't do over 60mph. With 2 kids in, 1st gear to go up a hill if steep. Have never owned a Sirion before is this normal that they are so underpowered? Feeling guilty seemed to have bought sister a pup can Forum members help?

My windows were ok until the point where I took off my passengers side front door card to change window switch and the wing mirror. I took off the door card which required some force. In the process I think the switch got pulled. However, this has caused all my windows to not work.
I took off the drivers door card and checked the main window switch and it wasn’t live.

I am in the process of changing the rear wheel bearings on my wife's Sirion 4Trak. After much scouring of the internet, motor factors and Daihatsu Dealers for the correct bearings in stock, I managed to find them on Amazon.

First I have to say that I am impressed with this litte car in winter conditions! I have driven it through ~1m of powdered snow without getting stuck, which is more then I can say for most other cars that have tried the same route in the winter. Sooo, about the troubles.

I inherited a Charade (2003) and the car runs great - I did 2000 miles last two weeks and no problems at all, but one: the air from the cabin fan has got a very distinct smell (dusty?) and every now and then some bits of foam-like material and newspaper shreds (!) fly out from the fan-grills inside. My first guess was to locate and clean/replace the air filter - the car spent a couple of years just sitting in a garage, so maybe mice or something ate it? But even then, I searched everywhere online and in the instruction, and I can't work out where the cabin air filter is. Any ideas?
