2005 Charade - Spare Tyre + Engine Warning Light !

Hi DDUK,

I have two questions I hope someone can answer.

Is there room in the boot for a proper tyre in place of the space-saver tyre provided with the car?

Whilst changing a headlight, somehow I must have knocked a sensor and now the engine warning light is on all the time. How do I get this switched off?

SOLVED: Oxygen Sensor (O2 / Lambda Sensor) Problem

Hello Everyone,

I just want the forum to know that I purchased a replacement FRONT Oxygen sensor (02 / Lambda) for my 2001 YRV Turbo 1.3 for about USD15.00 on a chinese website called Tao Bao. The unit was so cheap, I bought two and paid about USD40.00 with shipping included.

The sensor I bought was a universal unit, which means you have to recycle the connector to the engine electronics. It's not as simple as with a 100% OEM unit, but the difficulty wasn't that much higher, just eight crimps on a barrel connector and the sensor was ready to go.

Hey all,
I've got a 2000 model Daihatsu Sirion which I just recently installed air conditioning into (originally didn't have aircon - so I found a car the same year/model at a motor wreckers which had aircon), and everything hooked up okay (wiring was there in the wiring loom to just plug everything in), and I've had it gassed up, but I can't seem to get power to the compressor or the thermo fan (on the front of the condenser).

Hey guys, I have a 95 jap spec charade detomaso in the garage I'm fixing up for my boy due to start driving next year. The head gasket is stuffed and pressurising the cooling system.
I have the head set to go on but no bolts.

Daihatsu YRV GTti Bearings

Hi,
need new main bearings(crankshaft) and new conrod bearings, both in standard size (not 0.25 for example - just original size standard).
The point is in vienna/austria i don?t get them.....
This is ugly cause i have everything to build the engine and got all bearings in oversize...
Is there anybody outside, perhaps in uk.......who could solve my problem and get the right bearings?

The engine code is K3-VET, it is a very rare car here in austria (just 4 or 5 cars at whole austria)

It`s still waiting to drive but i dont get the missing parts....

Hi guys, I bought a second hand car but the owner did say it had an engine light. I've ordered one from Amazon. It's the Denso DOX 0109. I had to take off the wiring from the old and put them on the new one. As suggested on the instructions. 4 wires came off the old one. White blue and two black ones. The new had the same colour wires and I put them together. I hope the two black ones go in either of the other black ones. Saw on YouTube that the two black ones are for the heater circuit and shouldn't matter which one goes to which one.

Sirion wheel speed sensor tone wheel gap

I recently purchased my 2008 Sirion 1.5 Sport. However the ABS lights stay on on the dash and also the EPS light. I have checked all fuses, relays etc. Even had the steering off to check the torque sensors. All is in order. Now I want to make sure the wheel speed sensor gap is correct as a last resort. But it doesn't look as if you can adjust it. My question to the forum is can it be adjusted? How do. You adjust it and what should the gap be?

Sirion 1.0lt 2006 high pitched engine squeal (only 29,600 miles)

Hi everyone..
I have a problem with my Sirion SE 1.0 ltr (2006 model), which is not easy to pin point. It is an intermittent loud squeak or squeal coming from the engine somewhere when hot. It sounds like an external noise rather than inside the engine. The noise starts and either goes away for a few seconds and comes back at the same frequency or just gets gradually louder and stays there.

Hi just took picked up a few weeks ago of a nice little terios SL 2002. Wife has already named it Terry,

But it has Engine light on, so I used Scanner and up came P0141 bank 1 Sensor 2. Co2 Reading for Mot was 0.029 But does seem to me to use a bit of juice but could be just me getting used to it etc.

But I want to get the Sensor fixed so I have had a bit of a search for a Post Cat Sensor.
