Hello Anyone out there had experience with either of these.
Firstly I have a clutch to fit to my wifes Move (ordinary move not the grand move)any tips or things to watch out for? And secondly on the same vehicle anyone had problems with the horn not working? The fault is no earth at the switch I suspect the airbag clock spring. any info apprieciated Cheers!

Hi, I am an owner of a daihatsu Applause (I live in Australia & found this site). I recently installed a new car stereo. When I turned the ignition on for the 1st time after installing it I noticed that the dash clock display had gone. I then thought that the stereo was working, but it seems there is no power to it. I have the stereo wired up correctly & all the normal fuses look fine. Is there a seperate fuse for the clock?? Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the cause?? Thank you for your time
Hi All,
I have an elusive problem with my Applause 1997 (1600cc HD type injection engine).
After driving for 3-4hrs on hot days, especially with the A/C on, during a long climb the engine will eventually jitter as if the car is out of gas. There is no prior rpm drop (from ~3krpm), so I don't think the car is choking.
This does not happen during the winter or colder days, or nights.
I had everything checked, including the electrical system and all seems to be fine. The mechanic suggested the fuel pump could be heating and then gives problems.
I live in Belgium, and have problems to find a dealer to help me with the emission problem. The CO is to high, and there is no fault-code in the car. The dealer wants to change the Katalisator (and all the rest of the exhaust). Is it possible to correct the CO emission with a computer? non of the dealers seems to have one. Because of this problem, the car is off the road now, no permission to drive.
Could someone please tell me how to lower the idleing sped of my '92 Applause. It is running at 1,200 rpm when hot but at a fairly normal speed when cold (900 rpmish)
There are two screw/nut combos that one can twidle, have tried both but no joy. The part the the end of the throttle is connected to does not seem to be able to go round any further than it already is, and it's till idling fast?
my cuore blew the head gasket after aprox 35000 miles.
the head gasket was renewed, and shortly after i noticed a drop off in power. this time i removed the head myself, and found that the plug gaps were bridged with thick black build up, plus the exhaust valve stems. So this time changed all valve stem oil seals plus new head gasket.Within 10 miles of running plugs are again showing signs of build up.
