Oil smoke on startup after reconditioning of the head.(Charade 3 cylinder carbie engine)

Recently had to get the head shaved and a full head gasket kit fitted. The head gasket had blown between two of the cylinders.The car engine did not overheat. Yes, there has always been some oil consumption (on a long trip) due to ring wear.But now, particularly if the car is not used for a few days,a noticeable amount of blue smoke is emitted briefly after start up.The valve guides did not appear to be worn , and all valve stem seals were replaced.I suspect oil is somehow seeping down from the top of the head into the cylinder(s) slowly over a period of time?

4 light on dash starts flashing at odd times then stays in first gear while engine still revs up as normal Turning off engine and re-starting engine restores gears.
Has steering change and floor selector so suspect electronic problem.
Anyone sufferd this problem or know fault and cure please.

Sirion MK1 Drivers Headlight

Someone backed into my sirion 1.3 Auto MK1 and smashed my drivers side headlight, I have sourced a replacement but on viewing light discover that the front panel of the car seems to have to come off to gain access to the 4 bolts holding the headlamp assembly in place as the bolts screw in from the front of the headlight and are deep in the engine bay.

1998 Sirion poor ride

The ride on my Sirion is appalling. I had a short journey in the back of it yesterday and it was actually painful! It corners like it's on rails, but bumps are best avoided.

I've seen a few comments that the Sirion should be relatively comfortable, so what's gone wrong? Is it just tired shocks and springs? If so, where's the best place to find replacements?

Right, this is likely to get a bit confusing, so I apologize to begin with.

I am in need of some new front shockers, the suspension all round is very tired and bouncy.
I am trying to keep the costs down, so I have been scoring the web to find some deals.

Sirion Rally 4 Failed dash bulbs unable to find replacements help

Hi
I have a much loved Sirion Rally 4 and have blown two bulbs behind the dashboard which means I cant read the speedo in the dark!! The bulbs which failed are marked Toshiba V2 but the bulbs advised as a replacement do not fit.
Can anybody help and advise please where I can get replacements that fit

2005 Charade speedo registers 80 when sitting still?!

So my speedo played up a few times recently- registering half the speed that I was actually doing after an hour of being on, but then it would be fine if i turned the car off and on again. Today on the dual carriageway it said I was doing 120mph which I know is wrong as firstly, it's a fricken 1l charade, and secondly i use an app on my phone to give me speed readings and that said 67mph.
