Rear leaf springs

Forum:

Hi All
Well what can I say !
noticed 2 of the secondary springs on the nearside rear were broken !
purchased a pair from Milner Off Road Spares Smile
I was a little perturbed to find that the ones supplied were a little different - ie 4+1 leaves as opposed to 3+1 also there was no mount for the handbrake to secure to ???
I have a SWB and thought they may be for the LWB as the extra leaf would give more load capacity !

Full length roof rack mounting points - old shape LWB Fourtrak

Forum:

I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone how rare Fourtrak roofracks are, especially for the split height roof on the LWB wagon.

I plan to make my own rack but would like any information on where the proper ones are fitted, I recall seeing a couple with legs that came down the back but don't know where they bolt on.

If anyone has a fitted roof rack on the old LWB Fourtrak I'd appreciate you taking a look and sharing where they connect, or better still photos if possible.

pto winch on fourtrak

Forum:

hello there
I've just found out that daihatsu made a fourtrak with a pto winch on as standed. just wondering how hard it would be to fit one say from a landrover or such like? have been using electric winches and pto winches in my new job and the pto winch is far superier with more contol over speed and power and would love it if i could get one to fit my f70. Any ideas anyone?

Sportraks and Water

Forum:

I have a 1992 ELXi which I have purchased to offroad. The engine is sound and I plan to fit a K&N for that little extra on the tough slopes. However I wanged it though a river crossing the other day, not too deep, more like a large puddle and got an undesired effect.

The engine lost a little power and seemed to blow a little (new exhaust so not that), after 5 mins problem stopped and all was well.
