Possibly looking at getting a F50 back on the road, and am just wondering how easy/difficult it is to get the various parts for it. How much do they have in common with the later fourtraks in terms of their mechanicals, would it be possible to largely use bits from later models?

Has anyone ordered from or contacted Graham Dewhurst recently as I have had a couple of reports now that they have been unable to contact him and the site also appears to be down...
I don't want to remove his details from the Part Dealers pages until can be certain he has vanished because of the excellent service he has given to Daihatsu Owners over the years!
Does anyone have any experience of imported Daihatsus? I nearly bought a Sportrak "Rocky" a few years back, but was put off because of horror tales about imports. I bought a conventional Sporty ELXi instead. Trouble is, I now need to be able to tow 2.5 tonnes. I see there is s SWB Fourtrak for sale, imported from Japan. Its tempting, but I'm just not convinced that its a good thing. I would appreciate any opinions, no-matter what bias they have.

Hi, Theres a 100mm plastic pipe going off the distributor cap which seems to to go nowhere should it go somewhere I cannot see any likely places for it to fit, also it smells of petrol after a steady climb ,prolonged thottle use is this the norm , but what a great little truck many thanks Jeff

I recently passed my driving test (im 17) and would like to get a sportrack for my first car. can anybody tell me what i should expect to pay for insurance? (i know my age will make it expensive, but are they expensive to insure anyway?) plus it would be helpfull if anyone could tell me the laws regarding bullbars in the uk? Any help would be much Aprechiated.
i have a h reg tdi fourtrak which sprays out water from the radiator on a regular basis, there are no puddles when stood still, however i have had a look at the radiator and the fins are a bit shot. how easy is it to change the radiator and are there any hints and tips i should know, i.e bleeding the cooling system etc
Hi all, our Rocky is a pretty Old H reg and still going strong (touch wood), LOL.
i have found the Bottle Jack under the Passenger seat, no other tools there, I have also found the Jack Handle under the bonnet (alongside the Bonnet stay), but i would like to know what the official tool looks like (or is) to enable me to turn the jack handle to raise the Jack ?.
there is a Square end on the Jack Handle possibly about Half an Inch square, is this correct or is there something else like a T bar that has broken off, thanks for any help !.
hi all, i have just become aware that my Rocky's handbrake warning light doesnt work, which of course means i wouldnt get any warning of imminent brake failure !.
So what is the easiest way to check out where the fault lies, it could be the bulb, or the handbrake warning light switch.
i had thought, very misguidedly, that i could remove the brake servo filler cap and then the brake light would come on because the sensor is out of the fluid, but of course i see now that the wires from the warning light are not in the cap (like on my car) but attatched to the reservoir where the fluid is !!!!.
Is there such a thing as a roofrack for a sportrack? If so , where can i get one and whats it called please.
Or can i just buy one of those roofracks for any vehicle? Have one commissioned?
