A bloke in Lithuania has emailed me wanting a complete PTO winch for an F75 Rocky/Fourtrak. Apparently he works in the British Embassy there. Heck, I dont even know where Lithuania is. I guess if someone knew of an electric winch, he may be interested in that.
I dont know how many will be doing the attempt on the 8/9 april. but im guessing that some folks will be coming from in or around Staffordshire. what i was thinking that, what about meeting up somewhere and driving down "posse" style, i reckon a group of 4traks will look pretty cool. What do people reckon?
Its been a while since iv been in this forum, after owning hi-atsu (the black fourtrak on 36s) iv been off roading zooks im now on the look out for a leaf sprung diesel ditsu i can feel anuva project coming on, if anyone fancies a lreg 3.2 sport jag in lovely conditon with leather and family history give me a shout, my jag is worth around £1500 will consider swap..
My Sportrak wanders all over the shop when it hits road imperfections at any speed. On motorway ruts it is positively evil.
It has 225 70R15 tyres in reasonable nick and correct pressure. The shocks and springs seem fine to me, but the steering wheel has a bit of play, which I assumed normal on this kind of design.
It has always done it but had a fresh MOT when I bought it a month ago. This was however done by the same garage I bought it from which always seems dodgy to me.
I have a 1992 fourtrak with auto locking hubs which do not work. I was thinking of changing them to manual hubs as i can get these at a reasonable price second-hand. Will the manual hubs fit with no problems, I am told there is two different types one with 5 bolts and another with 6 or should I buy brand new auto hubs and is there a place or number I can ring for the best quote.
I have a Daihatsu sportract EL 1989 1.6. Most of the bushes are past their best and ready for a change. The rear springs/shocks have been replaced. Looking for anyone with recent buying experience of poly bushes, e.g. body mountings, upper arm and lower arm bushes, stabiliser arm.

I have just purchased a 2.8 TDS fourtrak fieldman, it has done 82000 mile, i plan to change the timing belt and change the oil fuel and air filter, i do not have any history of the vehicle, this is my first ever daihatsu 4x4.
Can anyone else recommend anything else i should check (Diffs etc)The engine runs well but the brakes are very spongy.
Would be grateful for any advice on how to keep trouble free !!
Hi, Im new to offroading so first of all hi to everyone.
I have read the messageboards through and through and have taken on board most of the advise (K&N Air filter on the way!!!) But have 2 questions.
I am thinking of going Greenlaning in hampshire to get a taste of what the scene is like, are they any good and would this be the best place to start??
Also, when i got my Sportrak 2 weeks ago (ELXi J Reg) i took it to the muddiest place i could find started climbing hills and generally pratting around, parked up for the night and gazed in amazement at my acheivement of completely covering my car in dirt. Then the rain set in, and it seemed all my efforts where wasted!!! is there anyway of keeping my sporty muddy???
Just a little warning to anyone with a sporty 1.6 injection. If you go to some Web sites they will list a pump ,part No EFP1.This will NOT run your car as it is only for carb setups.After getting one pump of E-bay ,to no fault of the seller and then trying a big auto parts dealer who took all my engine details and even my reg and still could'nt get the right pump !In a state of dispair i ended up in a scrap yard and took a pump of a Renault 21 !(1990ish vintage ),call it luck but it works great and only cost £10.Note..
hi guys another problem has arrisen.. i tell ya i havent even been off road in it yet lol/.. anyway when the car is hot it does not want to start it will fire then just flood when u press the throttle... does it have a hot choke and can i disconnect it???? i think i will just take the carb off tongi9ht and clean it... also when u r driving its like when u go over half throttle to go up a hill it will miss and be very hesitant like its going to stall...
