i this is my first posting, so i!d like to say hello to everyone, i have owned
7 fourtraks in the past, & never had any problems realy. till now, i think its the starter motor, when i turn the key the lights come on as usual, then
a bit further to start her up nothing happens, the lights dont dim,so i dont think its shorting, if i put her into gear & rock it, it will start, "sometimes" it also seems slower turning over compared to my preiveious
Hi everyone, just to make things clear to me, I have a Fourtak Independant with auto locking front hubs. Does this mean that when I need to use 4WD to tow a trailer out of a muddy field, I then need to stop and reverse the vehicle and trailer once on the tarmac road (not an easy task on a main 'A' road)to change back to 2WD, or can I safely carry on in 4WD for the rest of the journey without causing any damage to the drive chain?
I've just bought an F55 pick up and I'm chuffed to bits with it.I've tried to find the history etc for these F-series vehicles but there doesn't seem to be much out there. If anyone knows of any F20 F25 F50 F55 websites etc, please let me know.
a burglar tried to access my car recently and broke the lock on the passenger door. now it won''t work and has failed it's MOT. Is this an easy job? Can a local garage do it or do I have to go to a daihatsu specialist? And can anyone reccommend one in west london close to Richmond?
Just joined today having browsed the site, and i have to say what a well put together site it is.
Just bought a 1990 Sportrak with a genuine 34,000 miles on the clock (belonged to a old chap who didn't go out a lot). Is there a dedicated club for Sportraks? Where is the best place for bits? Where can i buy cool accesories? I'm sure i'll think of more questions, but thats it for now.
Take Care
hi all, further to me having crap headlights, i have now fitted some "driving lamps", at the moment they are wired directly to the battery through a switch, I do appreciate they should go through a relay but i couldnt, truthfully understand the wiring instructions (LOL), of course they should only be able to come on when main beam is switched on,
So my question is this, how can i easily connect the driving lights up to the main beam, i can then remove the driving lamp switch completely.
I intend to buy a fourtrack as I'm convinced it will 'do the job' regarding my vehicular requirements!
My local 4X4 dealer has a very nice looking J plate 2.8 TDX with 116k on the clock. As I say, it is in super condition. Price? 3 grand. Is this about right? I can't find any guidance on anything earlier than '95.
Some help will be appreciated.
