Several people have said that the exposed wiring at the back of the Fourtrak is a weakness and causes no end of problems if it fails. Can anybody advise if there are simple preventive steps which can be taken before this happens - extra sheathing, better insulation where wires go though holes or whatever?

Looking for a fourtrack for the girlfriend so she can tow a horsebox, however she is spoilt and wants air-con. I have not seen any fourtracks with air-con? do they exist?

i got 73mph ...didnt keep it there long as it whined and grunted and sounded like a gale was blowing thru the doors ( do the door tops allways shake around like they dont fit ?)
sure wasnt "cruising" tho..wouldnt like to do it on the motorway for any length of time ! might blow the old beast up?

i was wondering what the majority of daihatsus are used for. general car, off roader, socail domestic or pleasure.
as for me i have a 91 fourtrack lwb van.
i am a window cleaner and have it kitted out for that.
i have a 250 ltr tank inside and all the kit to wash up to hights of 60ft. also a second battery and water pump.
the next project is to equip it as an office as well.
got a hands free fitted next stage is to run an invertor to power a laptop and printer.
