Fourtrack

Forum:

Just bought a caravan and want a good tow car for it - have fell in love with the Daihatsu Fourtrak 2.8 Independent 3d. Looking to spend up to 6K - would love to hear from others as to what I should look out for, experiences with towing and if spares and repairs are reasonable.

Many thanks

Sportrak Clunking Noise

Forum:

Have got '94 Sportrak, and recently have experienced clunking noises coming from the front passenger side wheel. This clunking noise happens when reversing in both 2WD and 4WD. It is continuous in reverse, then only happens for a few seconds once pulling away, then stops. It only happens straight after using reverse.
A friend has suggested it might be the automatic hub - any ideas?
Help would be greatly appreciated, as can't find any specialists in local area.

4 wheel drive

Forum:

Hi there
I dont want to sound like a thicko but I have recently bought a 1989 F75 2.8td Fourtrak. I havent been brave enough to go off road yet because I dont really understand the hub system. Does anyone know if I have automatic hubs or manual & do I actually have to do anything to them to use 4 wheel drive?
