New Member here!
I have a L Reg Daihatsu 1.6i ELXi in Green. 91k and is in MINT condition! Bought if from the auctions a month ago for £1400.
I have loads of extra's already on it etc. I am wondering what Roof bar do you use to mount the spots on? or can you use any?
I am also after a Bull bar. I have seen some bull bars on ebay. Will a Fourtrak bull bar fit a Sportstrak? There are 2 bull bars off Fourtracks on eBay.
I was more than a tad annoyed when, in the middle of an isolated village in Staffordshire on fri. eve, the works Mondeo decided to opt for the quiet life by totally junking it's gearbox. To cut a long story short, the cheapskates could not (or rather would not) arrange a lease car for the weekend. And I needed one.....
So the Sportrak was pressed into service for a round trip of some 440 miles - Stoke to Sussex via Oxfordshire. I hurridly did some basic preparation, checked all levels, tightned belts, And she rose to the occasion brilliantly. I thought I'd end up having the fillings shaken from my teeth and being deafened at the end but not so. With the dampers on soft, it proved perfectly adept ride-wise on the motorways, and seemed to find it's own cruising speed at around 75 mph - although I did see an indicated 86 at one point on the M6 toll road.
The head gasket on my girlfriends fourtrak has gone and I was wondering if anybody could recommend a garage or mechanic who would be able to repair it? I've only used one garage here so far and I wasn't very impressed with them at all so would very much appreciate any replies.
Hi,
Im going to be lookinh to sell my 94 L Independent TDX soon and was wondering what price anyone thinks its worth privately. It has 101K on the clock, some service history, alarm/immobiliser, towbar and has recently had new clutch. Mot till end of Oct 04 Tax till 31/12/04.
Hello there i am about to become the proud owner of my first Daihatsu Sportrak and judging by the fun you guys have i cant wait..... being a rookie can anyone tell me what mpg i can expect from just generally running about and also whats the tow weight, i know its not high. One other thing who thought of the price of the nudge bars it borders on extortion £150 - £200 i will probably still buy so
My latest F78 with 60k genuine miles (I'm pretty sure of this because I know what bits fall off when, up to 90k with my Fieldman) hasn't been touched by anything other than garage mechanics (got the service history and MOTs to prove it).
So why is it that when I came to change the oil, some professionaly 'trained' wassock charging £50 per hour has cross-threaded the oil drain plug?
When you find simple balls-ups like this, you must wonder what other foul-ups are lurking in a second-hand vehicle where the grease monkeys have been let loose.
Hello my helpful chums, my dear fourtrak has been sold, due to its vast number of problems. Ive considered buying another but ill wait till i make i rich so i can afford to keep one on the road.
At least ill be able to rest and try to recoup the blood and sweat i have lost on my unfaithful and with my swearing jar buy myself a quieter, economical, reliable, vehicle.
got my rocky back now running on 36/14/15 muds.with s.p.o.a. got a few more mods to make, axlebreathers and replace power steering pump, then its off to woodlands, usualy run red and black courses completing everything , so now should be a doddle, hopefully!. when u go off roading youve gotta try and go past ya limits ! not spend all day on the white run and driving around the carpark trying to l
