Anyone out there fancy a meet up??
Possibly a bit of VERY LIGHT laning, or a pub meet???
I am based in Aldershot and for a one off would be willing to travel a bit.
Best day, Saturday or Sunday??
Come on, let's hear you 'cos I know there's loads of you out there!!!
hello, new member here so trying a post for 1st time, i have a 1991 sportrak which is primarly used for greenlanes so its not pretty! the only mods i have made are removal of anti roll bar at front and a set of "mud" tyres, what can i say, the vehicle is fantastic and allthough it gets stuck its allways due to ground clearance issues and has earnt respect from my mates who all have landrover products!. this is a new hobby for me and allthough i am a petrolhead through and through i had never considered doing this kind of thing before so hopefully i am amongst friends here!
Has anyone fitted a 12v accessory socket (cigarette lighter tyoe) in a Fourtrak? I found a white connector block inside the center console and thought maybe this could be used.
ive been going around checking brakes out and hammerite painting the chassis and inner arches etc.
ive noticed that inside the leaf springs at the rear is a shock / damper if thats what there called, and on the drivers side rear it has rotted through on the top end of shock /damper.
I have Daihatsu Rocky / Fourtrack (1991. 2,8TD intercooler , SWB with hard raised roof)...and not only that ... I have brake problem...
My front brake pads warn off so I changed them...and truck brakes work fine now...but I noticed that all rubber dust boot on brake caliper is missing...so my brake hidraulic piston is not protected from dust and mud...
having discovered that my 2008 TERIOS performs surprisingly well off road, but can get stuck on occasion due to lack of clearance, I MUST sort out proper recovery points for the front.
ANY IDEAS????????????????????????????????
While we're on the subject any idea how to get an inch or so lift without spending thousands?????
Thanks
Recently joined a club and 1st May went out first time Green laning.
The 2008 TERIOS coped with everything the Disco's and Shogies did with the only execption being stuck on one lane due to lack of clearance.
I was VERY impressed(but not with the scratches!) as were other club members.
SO if you have a new shape TERIOS, don't be afraid - it's really tough!
Decided to have a Bank Holiday off roading in the Peak District, during the day we noticed intense interest from the Police helicopters. This was both the South Yorkshire and East Midlands helicopters which appeared eleven times during our day in Dark Peak and White Peak.
